There’s just too much to love about Jessica and Wade’s engagement session! Beautiful couple, perfect light, glorious location…I really couldn’t ask for more! Jessica and Wade – thank you so much for letting me be creative and for stopping in that beautiful field of yellow flowers! It was worth walking through all that tall grass.

Christen and Keith are getting married in October! Sadly I was already booked on their wedding date, but my good friend Gia with Red Fly Photography will be shooting their wedding! I could not be happier that I got to do their engagement session – it was so much fun and such a gorgeous day as well. Christen and Keith are ADORABLE together and so photogenic too!

Holly and Nelson’s first date was to see “Up”, so when Nelson proposed, he made Holly their own personal adventure book just like the one in the movie! How adorable is that? I LOVED doing their engagement session in Austin at the gorgeous Zilker Park. I miss living in Austin so much! The morning of their session, the weather was absolutely perfect and the sun was shining gloriously through all the trees. I can’t wait to return to Austin for their December wedding!

Kelly picked some fabulous locations and outfits for this engagement session – I loved every minute of it! It was a beautiful day outside and I had a great time getting to know them better.  I am looking forward to photographing their wedding in November!

By the way, is anyone else as jealous of Kelly’s hair as I am?

It has been a busy month over here at Sharon Nicole Photography! 5 weddings and many engagement sessions later, we are almost at the end of March. I cannot believe it! Today’s post features an adorable couple – Adrianne and Jared! Thanks to Kelly Balfour from Eventology Weddings for referring these two to me! I loved doing their session in the Heights. We found lots of color and awesome urban areas for their photos! Adrianne and Jared met at a Halloween party where he was dressed as a gnome and she was Tinkerbell! How cute is that??? I can’t wait for their wedding this fall!

I am so happy to be sharing Brittany and Matt’s engagement session today! Not only are they an extremely good looking couple, they’re also so sweet and tons of fun to be around.  Pink happens to be one of their wedding colors, so I took every opportunity I had to get some pink in these photos. It doesn’t hurt that my eye naturally notices that color everywhere too! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall!

Matt is a firefighter, so I loved that they brought his jacket for some photos!

I met with Lesa and Eric on a gorgeous day last week! The light was perfect and these two are absolutely adorable together. Lesa makes macarons and she brought me some too! I can tell from experience that they are delicious and now I wish I had eaten them a little more slowly. They brought along some other fun and meaningful props with them too that I loved! Bubble tea because they love drinking it together and post it notes because Eric used them when he proposed! All their props made for some really fun pictures. I can’t wait to photograph them again in January 2013!

While Lesa and Eric changed into their second outfit, they left me with stacks of post it notes and asked if I had any ideas – I quickly made this heart out of them and I think it turned out great!

We got to do a few photos at Dolce Vita, which I loved! This was the location of Lesa and Eric’s first date. Aww!

Gemma and Kevin are so cute together! I loved doing their engagement session in Gemma’s parents’ neighborhood. New locations are always exciting to me and this one was full of great spots and gorgeous light. These two are tying the knot in September and I can’t wait!

I absolutely adore Sunida and Will! Their happiness just radiates from them and I can literally feel their love for each other just looking at them. I had so much fun talking and getting to know them better at their engagement session which made me even more excited for their wedding! One of my favorite props they brought with them was this “Love” banner! So cute and it made for some great photos!

Kim and Long’s engagement session started off on a beautiful day! After our first location they wanted to go to a bowling alley and I happily obliged! I just love adding personal elements to photos and it was a lot of fun hanging out with them and getting to know them that day. I can’t wait for their wedding coming up in May!

Wendy told me that Matt is a country boy at heart, so when she suggested that we do their engagement session at Ashelynn Manor I knew it was the perfect spot. Their session got a little more country than I expected (more on that later), but I loved every minute of it! Wendy and Matt don’t take themselves too seriously, which I loved, and it really came through in their photos! There were so many moments that I captured their laughter and genuinely sweet expressions – nothing makes me happier! I can’t wait for their wedding coming up in February!

Now here’s where things started to happen unexpectedly. I suggested that we go behind a fence to get a picture of them walking with their dog. Then this adorable white horse came to say hello, and well, Wendy and Matt just worked it and these pictures are even better than the one I had envisioned!

This donkey saw what was happening and decided he wanted to come say hi too. But then the animals started to get in the way of the photos I wanted to take, so we sadly had to say goodbye!

Oh and I did get that picture I wanted of them walking with their dog.

Matt will never let Wendy go…yup, they’re going to be together forever!

I am so excited to shoot Kendall and Will’s wedding in January, and I’m so happy that I got to do an engagement session for them too! Kendall and I were band nerds together in high school (whoa, yes, I totally just admitted that on the internet). We played flute and had many adventures at Clements High School! Kendall knew me when I started as a yearbook photographer, and years later I am still taking pictures! It was so great to see Kendall again and meet her fiance Will! These two are so cute together and I love, love, love the light we had on the day of their session. Perfect lighting paired with an adorable couple means I have a lot of photos to share on the blog today!

Kendall, I am just going to say what everyone is thinking. You are gorgeous!!!

I loved Cara and Greg’s engagement session! We were a little afraid that it might rain, but it actually turned out to be a beautiful day and the sun peeked through the clouds to provide us with some perfect lighting. These two even brought me a cupcake from Hey Cupcake in Austin! They sure know how to get on my good side . These first couple of photos with them surrounded by a field of yellow flowers are my favorites, but it was hard to choose because they’re so adorable together!!! I can’t wait to see them tie the knot at Hotel Galvez next year. Cara and Greg, thanks for spending the afternoon with me and for being so photogenic!

I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsey and Ernie’s wedding last year and I was so happy to see them when Lindsey asked if they could have an anniversary session! I knew she would bring a lot of cute things with her and I love photographing these two! Their cute coats, hats, and props really got me into the Christmas spirit even though it’s not even close to being cold here! Thanks Lindsey and Ernie for being so awesome and it was great to see you both again! Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

Meredith and Drew are getting married this weekend and I can’t wait! They moved to Houston from California and I think the gorgeous sunlight followed them all the way from the west coast. These two are so much fun to be around and I really enjoyed photographing them! I can’t get enough of their laughter and gorgeous smiles. I love my job!
