Anne + George | Houston After Session

It still makes me sad that I wasn’t able to photograph Anne and George’s wedding, but I’m happy that we got to do the next best thing: an after session! I love after sessions with just a bride and groom because they’re totally relaxed and don’t have to worry about being anywhere or doing anything. Anne and George showed up looking fabulous and I had a great time shooting these images for them!

Also…they brought me a cupcake! And of course that makes me love them that much more. Thanks Anne and George for spending the afternoon with me! Congratulations again!

Sabrina + Jeff’s Augusta Pines After Session

I looooove taking pictures of brides and grooms, so having a full session with Sabrina and Jeff was awesome! They are an adorable couple and so photogenic too! It was a beautiful afternoon at Augusta Pines and I am thrilled with the images we got that day. Happy Friday everyone!

Lindsey + Ernie’s Anniversary Session

I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsey and Ernie’s wedding last year and I was so happy to see them when Lindsey asked if they could have an anniversary session! I knew she would bring a lot of cute things with her and I love photographing these two! Their cute coats, hats, and props really got me into the Christmas spirit even though it’s not even close to being cold here! Thanks Lindsey and Ernie for being so awesome and it was great to see you both again! Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

Wendy + Dennis: After Session

Wendy and Dennis wanted a unique after session. We started out by taking more “pretty” pictures, and then Wendy told me she wanted to get soaking wet! We found the perfect fountain to splash around in!

Vanessa + Steven: After Session!

What could be better than a gorgeous location, perfect lighting, and an adorable bride and groom? Vanessa and Steven were such troopers for doing their after session the day after their wedding! I’m so glad we got to take advantage of the amazing spots around the JW Marriott San Antonio Resort & Spa. I wish I could shoot there every day! When we finished the session, Vanessa & Steven invited me up to their suite to eat some fruit tarts. It was the cherry on top of a great session!

See that first picture? It makes my heart beat a little bit faster. The gorgeous sunlight, the way Linda & Jeff are looking at each other…can’t you just feel the love there? That is one reason why I love my job SO much. To me, there’s no greater honor than to be the one to see that moment and capture it so they can look back on it and remember it for the rest of their lives. Sorry, I’m getting all cheesy and emotional. These photos are actually from the second half of Linda’s bridal session (which I can reveal after they are married!). Linda wanted to change and get a few shots with Jeff in a different dress, and since I LOVE photographing them, I was happy to see them together again. Linda is one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met – she brought me cupcakes, writes me thank you notes, and best of all…told me she loves her pictures. Linda, I’m so happy I met you and got to photograph you! Blog readers…stay tuned for her bridal session post later this year…you won’t want to miss it.

Betsy + Sam: After Session

Betsy & Sam were married in India (how cool is that!) but contacted me for an after session here in Houston. I absolutely LOVED Betsy’s dress – some people even stopped us in between pictures to tell Betsy how beautiful she looked. These two made my job easy, and to top it all it was a perfect day outside. If only spring could last longer than a few weeks in Houston!

Shiopei + Edward’s After Session: Baltimore, MD!

I loved Shiopei & Edward’s after session at Cloister’s Castle! One fun fact about this place is that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were married here! It is a gorgeous place with lots of character. I couldn’t resist taking the newlyweds out in the snow for a little bit as well. Luckily there wasn’t as much wind, but it was still freezing! I am so impressed with how they handled the cold weather. Actually I’m impressed that I survived the cold, too! It was nice to come back to Houston weather and feel warm! As much as I love warm weather though, having the opportunity to photograph the snowy grounds, beautiful castle, and cute couple is something I will never forget.

Today I finally took some time to look back on 2009 and realize how much God has truly blessed me. I could never have dreamed of the opportunities and wonderful people I’ve had the chance to meet and photograph. Who knew little me could do all of this? God knew and had a plan for me…and for that I am so thankful. I hope you don’t mind taking a trip down memory lane with me – I decided to make a few collages to share!

I love going back to Austin when I have the chance, and Jackie & John’s after session was the perfect opportunity. I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to mix different types of locations! It was a beautiful afternoon and this is one photogenic couple! I am so fortunate to work with the people I do…I really appreciate that they trusted my vision & followed my directions no matter what (even when I led them to a dirty alley downtown!). Karen & Sam’s After Session!

I shot Karen & Sam’s wedding and engagement session with Jona, and this is our last portrait session with them! It was FREEZING the morning of our shoot, but Karen & Sam handled it like pros. It was my first time to shoot at Starhill Ranch, and I loved it!

Roger & Susan: Engaged!

I was so excited when Roger & Susan contacted me for an engagement session. I just LOVE engagement sessions…there’s nothing better than capturing the moments between two people in love. Imagine my excitement when Roger told me they would be wearing wedding attire instead of the usual casual outfits! I also loved that they followed my directions so well and were willing to do anything I asked. The fact that they are absolutely adorable together was just the cherry on top of a great session! It was a beautiful day and we found some gorgeous light, too! Enjoy the photos!

Grace & Joe’s “Before” Session!

Normally I wait until after the wedding to do photos of the bride and groom, but since Grace and Joe will be moving to San Francisco, we decided to do it before the wedding. We also did a “first look”, which I knew would be adorable! I loved the locations we had for their session! I had to wait until after their wedding to post these photos, but I’m excited to share them now! Keep checking for their wedding photos, I promise they’ll be up soon!
